Horizontal mixing equipment is designed for mixing bulk mixtures, powder blends, protein bases, and other bulk materials in the food, chemical, and especially pharmaceutical industries.

Absence of Contamination Risk

The advantage of this type of mixing equipment, besides the precision/quality of mixing, is also the absolute zero possibility of contamination. Since the internal parts/walls of the vessel are smooth polished stainless steel and contain no rotating elements, agitators, etc. Furthermore, the tumbling of the material inside the vessel is very gentle, making it ideal for fragile bulk, granulated, and piece forms.

Principle of Operation

The horizontal type mixing equipment operates on the horizontal mixing principle, where the rotation around the horizontal axis causes the tumbling and blending of bulk materials within the vessel. This principle is highly efficient and gentle on the product, which is particularly valued in pharmaceutical production.

Material and Production Range

Material (contact surfaces): All parts in contact with the product are made of stainless steel AISI 304 or AISI 316 (brushed or polished).
Other parts: The drive and frame are painted with durable food-grade paint according to the customer's preference.
Production range (working volume):
HMZR 6, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200, 400, 600, 1000 liters (always filled to half of the total volume)

Placement and use of horizontal mixing equipment in a processing line

The horizontal mixing equipment can stand on its own pedestal or be placed under a ceiling or other structure. Loading of raw materials is done from the top into the open lid of the machine. Loading can be manual or via various types of conveyors. Discharge is carried out from the bottom by opening a manual valve. The mixture is discharged into containers, bags, or a connected conveyor that carries the mixed product to further technology, such as a packaging machine.
